I am a Louisville, KY based sculptor working primarily in stone. I was born and raised in Elk Grove Village, Il., a suburb of Chicago. I attended Bellarmine College here in Louisville where I received a B.A. in Fine Art.

After graduating, I went through different phases of focus with my art. I was also trying to establish my own business, a cabinet shop, so my art suffered. About 2001, I started working at the studio of Bob Lockhart, one of my professors from Bellarmine. I would go over once a week and carve. Over time, Bob asked me to apprentice for him. While doing that, my need for creating my own art really grew. I was also reintroduced to stone sculpture during this period. I hadn't carved stone since school. I fell in love with it.

I don't remember stone being such a favorite of mine back in school, but it quickly became my medium of choice. In 2011, Bob encouraged me to apply for membership in a co-op gallery of which he was a member. I did and was accepted and I kicked off my membership with a show with Bob. It was quite a journey.. 

Over the last 15 years I have been focusing my artistic efforts on carving stone. I can't get enough. I have found my home. I carve every day. When I am out of town, I miss carving and don't feel like my day is complete. I have become able to produce a steady flow of new work. My art is my passion. It really provides a completeness that I didn't realize I was missing.
